Building a Self-Reliant Lango Community
Join the Lira Diocese Multipurpose Cooperative Society to foster economic empowerment, Christian values, and sustainable development in the Lango sub-region.
Empowering Lango Through Faith and Action
Founded in 2019 with the support of His Lordship Bishop Sanctus Lino Wanok, the Lira Diocese Multipurpose Cooperative Society (LDMCOS) is dedicated to improving the livelihoods of Christian families in the Lango sub-region of Uganda. We focus on economic empowerment through savings, agricultural initiatives, and income-generating activities.
Our cooperative engages in projects like cassava commercialization, maize milling in Ogur sub-county, and organic poultry production using an incubator donated by the Minister of Health, Dr. Ruth Acheng Ocero. We work with partners like the Justice and Peace Commission, Opportunity International, and the Ministry of Industry Trade and Cooperatives to provide resources, training, and support for sustainable development.
